verdigris

verdigris, or copper acetate is another very straightforward pigment to produce, simply pour vinegar over copper……
let it sit for a few days….
The copper acetate will simply grow on the copper, it can be scraped off, ground and is ready to mix with a binder. Insular verdigris is usually a very bright shade suggesting the use of distilled vinegar and a very pure copper source.
